Connect Claude
Give Claude a place to keep your preferences and project details, ready for your next conversation.
Use Claude in your browser for this walkthrough. Custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise; Free accounts can have one custom connector. On a work account, an owner needs to add Gomind first. Check Claude’s connection guide ↗
Step 1: Get your Gomind account ready
Open Gomind and sign in or create an account. If asked to create an organization, give it a name such as “My memory.” This is your workspace. Already have one? Use that.
Open Gomind (opens in a new tab)Keep this guide open while you set up the connection in another tab.
Step 2: Add Gomind to Claude
In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, select +, then Add custom connector. Use the details below and select Add. Leave the optional advanced authentication fields empty.
Using Claude with a team?
An owner adds the connection in Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web, using the URL above. After that, find Gomind in your own Customize → Connectors list.
Step 3: Let Claude use your Gomind memory
Select Connect beside Gomind. On the Gomind approval page, sign in if asked, then choose your organization. A collection is a space for a set of memories; choose Default for your first setup.
Review the permissions. Read facts lets Claude look up memories; Write and delete facts lets it save and remove them. Enable both to follow this guide, then select Allow.
Use the same organization and collection if you later connect another AI app and want it to use these memories.
Step 4: Turn Gomind on in a conversation
Start a Claude chat. Open + → Connectors and enable Gomind for that conversation.
Step 5: Try your first memory
Copy this message into Claude:
Use Gomind to remember that I prefer short answers with a practical example.
Check that Claude actually used Gomind to save the fact. Then start a new chat, enable Gomind again, and send:
Look in Gomind: how do I prefer you to answer?
Look for a Gomind tool result containing your preference. That’s your first memory carried into a new conversation.
Need a hand?
I can’t add a custom connector.
On Free, check whether your one custom connector slot is already in use. On Team or Enterprise, ask an owner to add Gomind. Follow the linked Claude guide if your menus differ.
Claude says it can’t find my memory.
Enable Gomind in this chat and ask Claude to use it explicitly. Check that the original save succeeded, that your Gomind organization has credits, and that both conversations use the same organization and collection.
The connection or approval expired.
Return to Claude’s connectors and connect Gomind again to get a fresh approval page. Sign in to the Gomind account where you created your organization.
Want to use that memory elsewhere? Connect another AI app. You can manage access in Connections in your Gomind dashboard.
Setup instructions checked against Claude’s documentation on September 22, 2026. App menus and account availability can change.
